For workshops, online courses and hackathons
AI coding budgets for your whole group.
Share one link with your attendees or learners. Each gets their own budget and access token for Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI. You choose the models and when access ends.

First allowance: no service fee. Your provider bills the AI usage.
Requires a supported provider API key. We store it encrypted and never show it to participants.

Get your group ready to code
Connect your key
Connect an API key from Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or OpenAI. We store it encrypted and never display it again.
Share your group link
Choose the participant count, budget per person, models and end date. Share your link in your event or course materials.
Your group starts coding
Each participant creates an account, confirms their email and claims an allowance. They follow the setup instructions for their coding tool and start using your provider account.

Workshops & hackathons
Equip your whole event
Give each attendee their own AI coding budget through one shared link. Set access to end after your event and see each allowance’s spending.
Set up your eventOnline courses
Give every learner a head start
Add one link to your course materials. Each learner gets a budget for the exercises, lasting a set number of days after they claim, up to your chosen end date.
Set up your courseContractors
Keep contractors equipped
Invite a contractor to use your provider account with their own token. Choose their models, budget and an end date for the assignment.
Give one allowance
Individual access. You stay in control.
Each participant claims a separate allowance and token. You can see each request’s model, token counts and cost, including fractions of a cent.
Requests pass through Tokens On Me to your provider. We don’t store prompts or answers, and participants never see your provider key.
Choose who gets access
- Restrict claims to your attendee list or approved email domains, or review each claim yourself.
- Confirmed emails are required. Throwaway addresses are blocked by default, and a sudden rush of claims pauses the link and notifies you.
- Pause a link to stop new claims. Pause or revoke an allowance to stop its token on the next request; running requests can finish.
What it costs
Pay Tokens On Me for the allowances you create. AI usage is billed by your provider to your account, separately from our service fee.
Each allowance gives one person their own AI coding budget. Your first allowance has no service fee.

Your budget. Your rules.
Choose the rule when you create an allowance or group link. The workshop example above uses Strict cap.
$5.00 Limit

- $0.05
- Set aside
- $1.04
- Left
- $3.91
Strict cap (Exact)
An exact allowance never exceeds its budget, even with requests running at the same time.
Larger reservations can stop requests before the last dollars are spent.
Flexible cap (Close)
Can reserve less per request once prompt-based estimates are available. Running requests can take spending above the budget.
Uses the maximum reservation until measurements are available for the model.
How budget reservations work
We reserve money before sending each request. If the available balance cannot cover that reservation, the request stops there. Once it finishes, we charge the actual cost and release the rest. You choose how much to reserve.

- Limit
- $5.00
Strict cap (Exact)
- Sets aside the most a request could cost: about $1 on Claude Haiku 5.5, about $8 on Opus 5.5.
- An exact allowance never exceeds its budget, even with several requests running at once.
- The budget must cover the maximum cost of a request. That can leave a small balance you cannot spend.
Flexible cap (Close)
- Uses a prompt-based estimate once measurements are available for the model. Until then, it reserves the maximum cost.
- A close allowance can exceed its budget if a request costs more than the estimate. Any overspend is limited to requests already running.
Questions before you start
What works today?
API keys from Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI and OpenAI, in Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and oh-my-pi. Provider-hosted tools billed separately, such as web search, are not supported.
Can I restrict access to enrolled learners?
Yes. List your learners’ email addresses or approve each claim yourself. You manage who can claim the link; it does not check course purchases automatically.
Can I add more participants later?
Yes. Increase your link’s participant limit when you have enough allowance credits. You can keep sharing the same link until claims close.
Does the example budget include your service fee?
The $250.00 workshop example is the combined AI usage ceiling for 50 participants using Strict cap. Tokens On Me service fees are separate. Your provider bills the AI usage to your account; participants never pay Tokens On Me.
Can learners join my course at different times?
Yes. Choose how many days each allowance lasts after it is claimed, up to the overall end date. Each learner’s budget is a total allowance; it does not refill monthly.
What do participants need to get started?
A supported coding tool installed on their computer, a Tokens On Me account and a confirmed email address. They get instructions for using their token in that tool. They need no provider API key, provider billing account or paid coding-tool subscription.
What happens to unused allowance credits?
A group link reserves one allowance credit per possible claim. Unclaimed credits return when claims close, with their original expiry. Pack credits never expire; unused monthly credits expire at the end of their billing period. Allowances already created keep their own budget and end date.
What happens when the event ends?
Allowances stop accepting new requests at the end date you chose. You can pause or revoke access sooner. Requests already running can finish and are billed by your provider.
Can I share a subscription this way?
No. You need a provider API key. Claude and ChatGPT subscriptions cannot be shared here.
Am I allowed to share access?
Your provider’s terms decide. Read them before giving access to someone outside your organisation.
Your next group. Ready to code.
Check the participant experience with one allowance, then set up access for your workshop or course.
